BronzePortraits.net and Young Fine Art Studio, Inc. is a reputable art studio/gallery located downtown Salt Lake City. You can come and visit us anytime you want. The company is owned by sculptors Richard Young and Lena Toritch . When you call or e-mail us you will be probably communicating with one of them. We are small business and take pride in quality of our art. We don't sell somebody else's mass-produced sculpture. The statues you see in our gallery or on the website are original limited edition or one of a kind bronzes created by professional, well trained sculptors. Our bronzes can be seen on the streets of Salt Lake City, our design work and portraits grace some of the finest homes and various businesses around the country.

Our experience

Young Fine Art Studio has been in business for over 30 years. The company founder, sculptor Richard D.Young studied under famous Dr. Avard Fairbanks and became his apprentice. Young's style and technique is reminiscent of the late master's. Young's business partner Lena Toritch joined the studio in 1995 , when she came to the US from St.Petersburg , Russia. Toritch received her classical training and MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts. She specializes in portraits and exceptionally talented at creating in traditional realistic style. Both artists have a deep knowledge of human and animal anatomy. They are skilled in all aspects of sculpture creation: from a first drawing and design to a scale model to finished monument.

Our versatility- Custom statues

Custom statues and portraits are our specialty. Children's statues and portraits, bronze fountains, wildlife bronzes, pets' portraits, large figures and garden statues, bronze busts and family portraits are being created at BronzePortraits.net with a perfect likeness to subject, thoughtful attention to detail and composition which makes them unique and beautiful. Bronze statues appeal to almost everyone. But have you heard people saying:" I love this bronze but.....I wish it was bigger (smaller). I wish it was sitting (standing)." etc.

Here at BronzePortraits.net we understand that every client has unique requests and tastes for sculpture, specific placement in mind and, of course budget. With our training and experience we can design and sculpt just about anything our client desires.

We sell directly to our clients. Young Fine Art Studio is a "one-stop shopping" experience. The statue is designed, sculpted in clay and produced by the same company. We will find a statue in our inventory or custom make one for you to fit your budget. We also supervise every aspect of bronze casting process.

How do I order a custom statue?

Custom statues are fun to do. Some of our clients have a pretty good idea what they want. They even bring their own drawings and photographs. But it is not necessary. You just tell us what size you prefer, where the statue goes and a general idea of the subject matter- children at play, animal statue, garden statue or a large figurative bronze monument. We will make preliminary sketches and proposals for the statue and let you choose the composition. BronzePortraits.net communicates with the client through the whole designing process to create a statue to the customer's satisfaction.

How do I commission a portrait?

A bronze portrait can become a treasured part of the art collection which will be passed from generation to generation. Skillfully done portrait will show the essence of the personality as well as physical features. Nowadays nobody has a time to sit for a portrait so we ask you to bring as many pictures as you can, showing the person at multiple angles and with different expressions. If possible, we prefer to meet the model and take our own pictures.

As the sculpture progresses we invite clients to see it and give us their feedback.

After final approval the statue goes to the foundry and production process begins.

It takes a lot of experience to create them, no wonder they are pricey. A bronze sculpture collection can be a very good investment. A quality bronze sculpture done by a talented artist will increase in value as years go by, and sentimentally it will "grow" on you. Here at BronzePortraits.net we create with skill and passion, every client is special to us. The sculptors will personally work with you to make sure every special request and every detail looks exactly as you want. If you live outside Salt Lake City we will e-mail you pictures of the statue in progress.

The statues are created one at a time, sculpted by skilled artists' hands. No project is quite the same and it takes time and a total dedication from the sculptor to express an idea or movement just as the client imagines it. This gift of seeing a future statue through the clients eyes makes our studio unique.

Our statues are cast in bronze using traditional lost-wax process. The precise mold-making and ceramic shell processes are monitored by the artists and the foundry uses pure, high-quality bronze ingot.
